Watercolor Monotype - a printing technique where watercolor paints are applied to a non porous surface like acrylic, mylar, or plexiglass plate. This yields a one-of-a-kind image transferred to dampened print paper under pressure of a press, creating unique textures, fluid washes and glowing colors not normally achieved on watercolor paper. Leap of Faith Linocut Print - a form of relief printmaking, where the design is carved into a sheet of linoleum, ink is applied to the raised areas [uncarved areas] and the image is transferred to dampened paper on a printing press. These are loved for the bold contrasts and graphic lines. Springing Upward Monotype - The process combines painting, drawing, and printmaking, allowing for creative flexibility and spontaneity. Akua printmaking ink was used to create this one of a kind original print using both an additive and subtractive techniques.
