Abstract Expressionism
So you might question, what really is ABSTRACT ART? The word "abstract" simply means to separate or withdraw from something. Abstract Art could then mean art that does not try to represent some "worldly" defined visual reality. Now we could really go off on a tangent and try to explain reality, but not here, not now. Abstract art will use shape, pattern & color to create it's own visual reality, or perhaps the visual reality of the artist. Some would say Abstract art is nonrepresentational yet my work is representational of the feeling and emotion perceived while observing the world around me.
