Update [7/5/23]: I have been working on this project over the last few years. I am 3 years post radiation, and everything is going well! I currently have 22 masks created, they all reflect a part of my healing process, life and current events. I will continue working toward my goal of 33 and will post some updated pictures soon.
We have all head the old saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade". On that note when life gave me a treatment mask, I decided to make art! My initial thought was to have 33 masks in total, one to represent each treatment. This project is still in development but I would like to share these 7 masks created to date. Look closely and you will be able to see that each mask houses a collage that relates to current events happening at the time of creation and have all been influenced by Covid19 in some way.
